The DPSA Website Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement (Privacy Policy) describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or  (collectively the “Site”).


When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products and services that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We collect Device Information using the following technologies:

Additionally, when you contact Data Privacy and Security Advisors, LLC through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name and email address. We refer to this information as “Contact Information.”

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Contact Information.


We use the Contact Information that we collect generally to inquiries made through the Site. Additionally, we use this Contact Information to:

  • communicate with you;
  • screen our inquiries for potential risk or fraud; and
  • when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).


We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site. Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.


Please note we automatically honor your preferences when we see a Do Not Track signal from your browser.


If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you, or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.


When you contact us through the Site, we will maintain your Contact Information for a total of 13 months, unless you ask us to delete this information.


The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.


We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.


Data Privacy & Security Advisors, LLC has committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints JAMS, a non-profit alternative dispute resolution provider located in the United States. In the event of a formal complaint, it is DPS Advisors’ policy to contact the individual directly to resolve any concerns. DPS Advisors will cooperate with JAMS, free of charge to you, pursuant to the JAMS International Mediation Rules, which are accessible on the JAMS website at, if the complaint cannot be resolved through DPS Advisors’ internal processes. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if we have not addressed your complaint to your satisfaction within 45 (forty five) days, please contact or visit for more information or to file a complaint. Such JAMS mediation will be held in New York, NY for complaints by individuals in the U.S. and in London, UK for complaints by individuals outside of the U.S.

Data Privacy & Security Advisors, LLC is subject to the investigatory and enforcement power of the Federal Trade Commission with respect to claims or complaints related to this Privacy Statement (Privacy Policy). As set forth above, we may disclose your Personal Information in response to lawful requests related to applicable law, regulation, ordinance, public authorities, matters related national security or legal process, including government investigations.

You may have the option to select binding arbitration for the resolution of your complaint under certain circumstances, provided you have taken the following steps: (1) raised your complaint directly with DPS Advisors and provided us the opportunity to resolve the issue; (2) made use of the independent dispute resolution mechanism identified above; and (3) raised the issue through the relevant data protection authority and allowed the US Department of Commerce an opportunity to resolve the complaint at no cost to you.
