He commands a comprehensive understanding of the broad legal frameworks that govern data protection, commercial email, and international electronic commerce, and he is an active leader in the global privacy community. From testifying before House and Senate committees to participation at major industry events, Mr. Koons, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), is a seasoned public speaker and expert witness on data protection and data privacy topics.

Mr. Koons’ passion for e-commerce and customer-centric thought process began during his time at Amazon and has carried through to present-day. Working in both tactical and strategic roles, Mr. Koons enjoys the “hands-on” work as much as the strategic guidance he provides. His split-focus helps clients maximize their privacy technology adoption as well as maintain clear and achievable strategic goals for their privacy programs.
